In 2020, Kristin Thrower, H.S. Librarian and Lisa Signorelli, M.S. Reading Specialist in Chesterfield County, Virginia started a Free Bookmobile.
Nuestra historia
El 11 de septiembre de 2020, la Sra. Thrower, bibliotecaria de Meadowbrook HS y la Sra. Signorelli, especialista en lectura de Falling Creek MS asistieron a la donación de libros en la sucursal principal de Goodwill. Mientras buscaban entre los libros, hablaron sobre varios libros y lo mucho que les encantaba The Book Woman of Troublesome Creek . Ese día decidimos comenzar nuestra propia biblioteca móvil y el 23 de septiembre de 2020, nos dirigimos a la comunidad, con libros en los baúles de nuestros autos, armamos nuestras mesas y nació la biblioteca móvil FCMS/MBK.
En junio de 2021, el distrito escolar nos regaló una camioneta de carga y el nombre se cambió a Ladies of the Creek Free Bookmobile para honrar el libro que lo inició todo.
